- TS-h2490FU, TS-h3088XU, TVS-h1288X/TVS-h1688X, TS-h1886XU-RP/ TS-1886XU-RP, TS-h686/TS-h886, TNS-h1083X, TS-h1283XU/TS-h1683XU/TS-h2483XU, TS-h977XU-RP/TS-h1277XU-RP/TS-h1677XU-RP, TVS-h1675U-RP/TVS-h1275U-RP/TVS-h875U-RP/TVS-h875U, TVS-675, TS-h973AX/TS-473A/TS-673A/TS873A, TS-873AU/TS-873AU-RP/TS-1273AU-RP/TS-1673AU-RP, TVS-672X/TVS872X/TVS-472XT/TVS-672XT/TVS-872XT/TVS-672N/TVS-872N
- QuTS hero does not support downgrading from h5.0.0 to h4.5.4 or earlier.
Storage & Snapshots
- QuTS hero now supports specifying the maximum ARC (Adaptive Replacement Cache) memory usage in Storage & Snapshots > GlobaSettings. This allows you to reserve more memory for other services and thus enhance the overalsystem performance.
- File Station would stop uploading files when uploading multiple large files at the same time. (Normally, File Station only uploads one file at a time while other files wait in a queue.)
- QuTS hero would not free up the guaranteed snapshot space after users converted a shared folder from thick provisioning to thin provisioning.
- Users sometimes could not log in to QuTS hero unless they restarted the NAS.
- Users could not update firmware for the TS-h973AX after installing an ECC memory module on the device.
- QuTS hero occasionally could not recover iSCSI connections after firmware update to h5.0.0.
- Users could not view the previous versions of shared folders in Windows after taking snapshots on the NAS.
- On the TS-h1886XU-RP, QuTS hero could not detect the M.2 SSD installed on the QM2-2P-384 expansion card if the QM2 was installed on PCIe Slot 4.
- Storage & Snapshots sometimes could not display disk health information when users removed and then reinserted disks on the TL-R1220Sep-RP.
- iSCSI & Fibre Channecould not display aliases and WWPNs (worldwide port names) information in LUN Masking after users added initiators.
- QuTS hero occasionally could not accurately calculate the mount of available memory.
- Users occasionally could not instalHD Station due to disk quota issues.
- The TVS-675 could not detect externaUSB disks.
- Storage & Snapshots could not display Snapshot Replica jobs if shared folder names contained the & character (ampersand).
- The shared folder capacities displayed in Storage & Snapshots could not match those displayed in Paessler SNMP Tester and PRTG Network Monitor.
- Non-administrator users could not move files to Recycle Bin if they were denied access to Recycle Bin in the folder permission settings. (Normally, non-administrator users should stilbe able to delete files even when they do not have permission to access Recycle Bin.)
- Users could not view adapter information when creating SnapSync jobs.
- System Event Log would display unexpected error messages when users installed a QTS system disk on the NAS running QuTS hero.
- Administrators could not edit shared folder permissions for domain users after enabling trusted domains in ControPanewhen such domains were not available.
- Sometimes it would take a long time to load NAS shared folders in Windows via SMB.
- Users could successfully create a shared folder named "System". (Normally, such a name is reserved for the system and cannot be used.)
- After login, sometimes it would take a longer time to load the desktop when QuTS hero was requesting certain app information.
- Fixed a minor security issue.
- Twonky Server cannot function normally on the TS-h973AX running the latest versions of QuTS hero.
- Some applications cannot access the NAS when secure connection and TLS 1.3 are enabled. This is due to a known issue in the applications. We wilfix this issue in upcoming app releases.
- MacOS Finder takes a long time to display content in SMB shared folders when users connect the Mac to the NAS via Thunderbolt. This problem may be due to Mac device driver issues. It only occurs to Mac devices with Inteprocessors and macOS 11 (or later versions).
- Thunderbolt write speeds are lower than expected in QuTS hero h5.0.0. Note: Due to Thunderbolt driver compatibility issues, if you are using macOS 11/12 devices with Inteprocessors, we do not recommend updating QuTS hero to h5.0.0 for the time being.
- QTS and QuTS hero with newer kerneversions do not support ATTO Fibre Channeadapters. If you have already installed an ATTO Fibre Channeadapter on your device, we do not recommend updating the firmware to QTS 5.0.0 or QuTS hero h5.0.0 for the time being.
Control Panel
- Replaced SQServer with MariaDB 5/MariaDB 10, which can be installed in the App Center.
- Removed iSCSI Service from Service Binding in ControPanel. Users can now configure iSCSI service binding settings in iSCSI & Fibre Channel.
- Qboost is no longer a built-in application in QuTS hero. Users can choose to instalQboost in the App Center.
- Starting from QuTS hero h5.0.0, ZFS PooProfiling Toois no longer a built-in utility. Users can choose to download this toofrom the App Center.
- To ensure data security, system stability, and storage performance, the maximum number of drives for a single RAID group is now 16 (applicable to RAID 5, RAID 6, RAID TP, and subgroups of RAID 50 and RAID 60). Nevertheless, users can combine multiple RAID groups into a large storage poothat contains more than 16 drives, using RAID 50, RAID 60, or RAID 10 as the RAID configuration. This enhancement wilonly be applied to new RAID groups. Alexisting RAID groups and storage systems wilnot be affected.
- The lowest SMB version is now SMB 2 by default.
